CCICED Meeting on “Ecosystem Service and Management in China” was held in Beijing on June 20. The Meeting discussed on the national policy need in the field of ecosystem service and management, exchanged and shared the information on related on-going cooperation projects and international experience in this field, which has provided the direction and foundation for the proposed CCICED Task Force on Ecosystem Service and Management. EU Delegation in China, Bureau of Science & Technology for Resources and Environment of CAS, Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resource of CAS as well as EU-China Biodiversity Program provided support to the convening of this meeting.

CCICED Secretary General Zhu Guangyao, Prof. Chen Yiyu, Academician and Chairman of National Natural Science Foundation, CCICED Chief Advisor Shen Guofang and Arthur Hanson attended the meeting. Experts and representatives from such departments and institutes as NDRC, MEP, Ministry of Water Resources, SFA, as well as IUCN, WWF, ADB, TNC attended the meeting.
