Mr. Xu Qinghua, Director General of the Department of International Cooperation of SEPA and Deputy Secretary General of CCICED and Mr. Jeff Nankivell, Director General of the China Program Department of CIDA had a working meeting on September 4, 2006. They discussed in detail relevant preparation work for the establishment of CCICED Phase IV and the work plan for the next stage. They both thought it necessary to accelerate relevant preparation work for CCICED Phase IV. They also exchanged their views on the forthcoming Fifth AGM of CCICED Phase III scheduled on November 10-12. Mr. Liu Minming, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of Ministry of Commerce, Mr. Guo Jing, Director of CCICED Secretariat and Mr. Kent Smith, Development Counsellor of Canadian Embassy to China, attended the discussion.
