Mr. Zou graduated from Shanghai Tongji University.

With great accomplishment in the research of urban planning and design, Mr. Zou was the Director of China Academy of Urban Planning & Design. He has led and participated in the overall planning of major new industrialized cities. For the last decade, he led over 30 key scientific and technological consultation projects, including the overall planning of Beijing municipality, strategic deliberation over the development of Shanghai, and etc. In the past several years, he focused on the cutting edge subjects like urbanization and sustainable development and urban eco-environment planning and urban design. He was awarded Honorary Doctor by the Sheffield University in Great Britain in 1991.
