Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment (VROM), the Netherlands

Since February 2007, Mr. Vlist was appointed the Secretary General of the Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment (VROM), the Netherlands.

Before assuming his current post, Mr. Vlist has many years of administrative experience.

From 2001 to 2006, he was Director-General of Environmental Management for the Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment (VROM). From 1995 to 2001, he was Chairman of the higher water board of “Drainage Locks in the northern section of Noord-Holland” in Edam. And he worked as Provincial Executive of the Zuid-Holland province, responsible for the environment, water quality, energy and drinking water provision portfolios.
